C. Wire Marking <br /> 1. �Nire identifcation: All wire terminations including field interconnect as well as <br /> wiring interior pedestal, switchboard, panels, equipment,junction panels and <br /> boxes shall be identified with machine printed labels. Hand lettered labels are <br /> not acceptable and shall be replaced at the Contractor's expense. The wire <br /> identification code for all field interconnect and panel interior wiring, shall be <br /> similar to the designations shown on the Contract Drawings. <br /> 2. Wire 'Labels: The labels shall be machine printed with indelible ink, heat <br /> shrink type capable of accepting a minimum of 23 machine printed characters <br /> per sleeve label by Brady "Bradysleeve" or equal. Labeling shall be neatly <br /> installed for visibility and shall be clearly legible. Each wire and conductor <br /> shall be labeled with wire label as shown on approved loop, elementary and <br /> interconnect Drawings. Labels shall not be wrap around or snap-on type. <br /> 3. Where there is insufficient space for labels on locally interconnected neutral <br /> wires such as jumpers between adjacent auxiliary relay coil neutral terminals, <br /> these labels may be omitted. "Locally" is defined as wires no longer than 8". <br /> 4. Wire labels for lighting and receptacles shall be installed and consist of the <br /> panelboard and circuit number (i.e., Panelboard "LP 100", circuit breaker#3 <br /> would have wire label line "LP100-L3" and neutral "LP100-N3"). <br /> 5. All spare wires shall be labeled with equipment number followed by SP1, SP2, <br /> etc:. (i.e. P11001-SP1 for first spare wire). <br /> 6. All control and signal wiring terminations shall have the correct wire label <br /> applied prior to making connection. <br /> D. Special Purpose Wiring <br /> 1. Manufacturer Supplied Cables (MNFR CBL): Cables and wiring for special <br /> systems shall be provided by the manufacturer with the equipment and <br /> installed per the manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> 2. Indoor CAT 5 communication cable meet the following requirements: <br /> a. TIA/EIA-568-A Category 5 100 MHz specifications. <br /> b. #24 AWG solid bare copper conductor, 4 twisted pairs. <br /> C. Thermoplastic Delectric type. <br /> d. Shielded bulk cable. <br /> e. PVC jacket. <br /> f. Nominal Impedance: 100 ohms. <br /> g. Nominal capacitance: 20 pf/ft maximum. <br /> h. LIL listed. <br /> i. lion-plenum usage rated when routed in conduit. <br /> j. Plenum usage rated when routed in plenum spaces. <br /> 3.
