2.04 COMPONENTS <br /> A. Fuses <br /> 1. Fuses used in circuits 200 VAC and above shall be time- delay type FNQ or <br /> approved equal, 13/32"x 1-1/2", and have an interrupting rating of 42,000 AIC <br /> at 500 VAC. Fuse holders shall be of the barrier type and rated 600 VAC. <br /> 2. Fuses used in 120VAC shall be time-delay type MDL or approved equal, 1/4"x <br /> 1-1/4", and have a rating of 250 VAC. Fuse-holders shall be of the terminal <br /> block type. <br /> 3. Fuses used in signal and 24 VDC circuits shall be fast acting type GMA or <br /> approved equal, 5 mm x 20 mm/1/4" x 1-1/4", and have an rating of 250 VAC. <br /> Fuse-holders shall be of the terminal block type. <br /> 4. Fuses shall be sized in conformance with the NEC. <br /> B. Switches and Pushbuttons <br /> 1. Switches and pushbuttons for general purpose applications shall be water and <br /> oil tight as defined by NEMA 4X, corrosion resistant as defined by NEMA ICS <br /> 6-110.58, U.L. listed, standard 30 mm diameter, with round plastic clamp ring. <br /> Switches shall be Allen-Bradley 800H, or approved equal. <br /> 2. Switches and pushbuttons shall have contacts rated 10 amperes continuous <br /> and 600 VAC. <br /> 3. Manufacturer's standard size legend plates shall be provided and engraved to <br /> specify each switch and pushbutton function. The legend plate color shall be <br /> black. <br /> 4. Selector switch handles and pushbutton caps shall be black. <br /> 5. Selector switches for hand-off-auto (HOA) applications shall have the hand <br /> position to the left, off in center, and auto in the right position. <br /> 6. Lockout stop shall be a pushbutton with red cap and pad locking assembly for <br /> pushbutton. <br /> C. Relays and Timers <br /> 1. General: Relays and timers shall be provided with N.O. or N.C. contacts as <br /> shown on the Contract drawinas. All spare contacts shown shall be provided. <br /> Contacts shall be rated 10 amps minimum at 120VAC,60 Hz unless otherwise <br /> stated. Supply power or coil voltage shall be 120VAC unless shown otherwise <br /> on the Contract drawings. Relays and timers shall be designed for continuous <br /> duty. All relays shall be U.L. listed. The following is a summary of <br /> abbreviations associated with relays and timers: <br /> CR - Control relay <br /> TR - Timing relay <br /> PFR - Power fail relay <br /> TDOE - Time delay on energization <br /> TDOD - Time delay on de-energization <br /> ISR - Intrinsic Safe Relay <br /> 2. Control relays (CR) shall be plug-in type with indicating lights and clear <br /> see-through sealed or enclosed housing to exclude dust.
