2. The "System set-up" for factory testing shall consist of, but is not limited to all <br /> VFD panels, electrical enclosures, MCCs, LLC fully programmed and any <br /> miscellaneous associated electrical equipment. <br /> 3. Temporary wiring and equipment shall be setup during these tests to simulate <br /> the complete assembled system. <br /> 4. The length of the factory testing for the "System setup" shall be a minimum of <br /> five (5) working days. If in the opinion of the Owner or Engineer the factory <br /> testing is not completed at the end of the working day, the testing shall be <br /> extended, at no additional cost to the Owner or extension in Contract time. <br /> The Contractor shall agree that the sum set forth hereafter is a reasonable <br /> amount to be charged as liquidated damages, and it is therefore agreed that <br /> the Contractor will pay the Owner the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00)in <br /> liquidated damages for each and every calendar day beyond the time <br /> prescribed above for the completion of factory testing for the System set-up. <br /> Liquidated damages will be assessed to the Contractor each and every day <br /> past the time allotted for factory testing. <br /> 5. All factory tests shall be conducted at the Supplier's facility. All factory tests <br /> shall be completed prior to shipment of any of the "System set-up" to the <br /> jobsite. The "System set-up" shall be fully assembled, programmed, and <br /> connected as it will be installed in the final configuration. If the"System set-up" <br /> is found to be not fully and completely ready for factory testing, the Contractor <br /> shall be responsible for paying for the Owner and Engineer to return for the <br /> factory testing. Factory testing is to ensure that there are no defects. The <br /> hardware and software shall be tested for compliance with the plans and <br /> Specifications included herein and for the ability to perform the control <br /> functions. <br /> 6. All components of the system setup shall be completely assembled and <br /> thoroughly pre-tested by the supplier or manufacturer before start of factory <br /> teat. <br /> 7. The associated factory tests for each of the factory testing sheets that are to <br /> be performed by the supplier and witnessed by the Owner/Engineer shall <br /> include the following for the "System set-up" as a minimum: <br /> a. Inspections of the panels as follows: <br /> 1) Visual and Mechanical <br /> a) Inspect for physical damage, proper support, and wiring. <br /> b) Check all starters, breakers, and other components for <br /> proper sizes. <br /> 2) The Contractor shall fill in test form TF4 located in Appendix "A". <br /> b. Testing of the LLCs as follows: <br /> 1) Each line of control logic on the elementary or loop diagrams shall <br /> be checked. After a line of control logic is tested, the person <br /> performing test shall initial the corresponding line on the <br /> elementary diagram.
