8. The Contractor shall fill in & submit for approval the"Scheduled Test Request <br /> Form" located in Appendix"A"for each requested inspection,factory and field <br /> test. <br /> 9. The supplier shall submit for approval, the proposed factory & field testing <br /> sheets at least 24 days prior to the start of the tests. Each testing sheet shall <br /> have a title giving the type of test and entry spaces for the name of the person <br /> who performed the test, name of the person who witnessed the test, and the <br /> date. Tests performed without approved forms shall be retested at no <br /> additional cost to Owner. — <br /> 10. Separate test procedures in separate binders shall be submitted for approval <br /> for the Factory and Field Tests. Testing shall not commence until the test <br /> procedures have been reviewed and approved by the Owner. Tests forms <br /> shall be similar to those shown on Appendix "A". <br /> 11. If the results of any of tests are unacceptable to the Engineer, the Contractor <br /> shall make corrections and perform the tests again until they are acceptable to <br /> the Engineering; these additional tests shall be done at no additional cost to <br /> the Owner. <br /> B. Failure to Meet Test <br /> 1. Any system material or workmanship which is found defective on the basis of <br /> acceptance tests shall be reported to the Engineer. The Contractor shall <br /> replace the defective material or equipment and have tests repeated until test <br /> proves satisfactory to the Engineer without additional cost to the Owner. <br /> C. Safety <br /> 1. Testing shall conform to the respective manufacturer's recommendations.All <br /> manufacturer's safety precautions shall be followed. — <br /> 2. The procedures stated herein are guidelines for the intended tests, the <br /> Contractor shall be responsible to modify these tests to fit the particular <br /> application and ensure personnel safety. Absolutely no tests shall be <br /> performed that endanger personal safety. <br /> 3. The Contractor shall have two or more personnel present at all tests. _ <br /> 4. Two non-licensed portable radios are to be made available by the Contractor <br /> for the testing organization to conduct tests. <br /> 5. California Electrical Safety Orders (ESO)and Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Act (OSHA): The Contractor is cautioned that testing and equipment shall <br /> comply with ESO and OSHA as to safety, clearances, padlocks and barriers <br /> around electrical equipment energized during testing. <br /> 6. Field inspections and pre-energization tests shall be completed prior to <br /> applying power to equipment. — <br /> D. Electrical Factory Test <br /> 1. The System supplier shall conduct a thorough and complete factory test by <br /> qualified factory-trained personnel witnessed by Owner per the criteria <br /> specified herein.
