Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The latest <br /> edition in effect at the time of project advertisement <br /> shall be used unless the City has adopted an <br /> earlier version. <br /> Whenever in the "State Standard Specifications and Plans", the following terms are used, they <br /> shall be understood to mean and refer to the following: <br /> "Department of Public Works" or The City Council of the City of Tracy. <br /> "Department of Transportation" <br /> "Director" or The Director of Development & Engineering <br /> Services of <br /> "Director of Public Works" the City of Tracy. <br /> "Engineer" The City Engineer of the City of Tracy acting either <br /> directly or through properly authorized agents, <br /> such as agents acting within the scope of the <br /> particular duties entrusted to them. <br /> "Laboratory" The designated laboratory authorized by the <br /> Director of Development & Engineering Services to <br /> test materials and work involved in the contract. <br /> "State", "City", or"Owner" The City of Tracy. <br /> SECTION 3 — CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> The City Of Tracy has adopted as part of the Contract Documents the City of Tracy "Standard <br /> Specifications" (dated November 1988), the City Of Tracy "Standard Plans" (dated August <br /> 1997), the City of Tracy "Parks and Streetscape Standard Plans" (dated November 2002), the <br /> Standard Specifications, and Standard Plans for Public Works Construction "Greenbook" (latest <br /> edition), and the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) "State Standard <br /> Specifications and Plans" (latest edition). These documents are printed and issued separately <br /> and are not included with the bidding documents. The requirements of these documents are, <br /> by reference, incorporated and made part of the Contract Documents as if fully set forth herein. <br /> The words "Contract Documents", also referred to as the "Contract" shall mean any or all of the <br /> following items, as applicable, and each of the following items, by reference, is to be <br /> considered as included. <br /> 1. Change Orders, if any <br /> 2. Permits <br /> 3. Agreement <br /> 4. Addenda, if any <br /> 5. Special Provisions <br /> 6. Exhibits <br /> 7. Reference Specifications <br /> 8.
