95-2.05 STANDARD SET EPDXY ADHESIVE FOR PAVEMENT MARKERS <br /> Classification: <br /> • This specification covers a high viscosity paste standard set epoxy formulated primarily for use in bonding <br /> pavement markers to portland cement concrete and asphalt concrete. The epoxy shall meet ASTM Designation: C 881, <br /> Type N,Viscosity Grade 3,Classes B or C,except that the gel time may be shorter than 30 minutes. <br /> Characteristics of Combined Components: <br /> • All tests shall be performed in conformance with the requirements in California Test 434. <br /> Property Requirement <br /> Gel time,minutes,maximum at 25°C 30 <br /> Bond Strength to Concrete,Time(maximum) <br /> to reach not less than 1.4 MPa <br /> at 25°C f1°C 3.5 hours <br /> at 13°C tl°C 24 hours <br /> Slant Shear Strength <br /> 2 days at 25°C fl°C,MPa 7 min. <br /> 14 days at 25°C ti°C,plus water soak,MPa 10.5 min. <br /> Tensile Adhesion and Cohesion <br /> Ceramic marker bottom,MPa 4.8 min. <br /> Ceramic marker bottom, including post cure, 4.8 min. <br /> MPa <br /> Reflective pavement marker bottom,MPa 3.4 min. <br /> Color of Mixed Components gray <br /> Glass transition temperature,Tg,samples <br /> conditioned at 25°C for 24 hours,ASTM 30°C min. <br /> Designation: D 4065 <br /> Directions for Use: <br /> • Components A and B shall be mixed in conformance with the manufacturer's written recommendations. When an <br /> automatic proportioning and mixing machine is used, the temperature of the components shall be maintained by indirect <br /> heating or cooling, so that the adhesive will meter,mix and extrude properly. The maximum temperature shall be such that <br /> after proper mixing no excess adhesive shall flow from under the marker other than that specified in Section 85-1.06, <br /> "Placement." <br /> 95-2.06 (BLANK) <br /> 95-2.07 (BLANK) <br /> 95-2.08 (BLANK) <br /> 95-2.09 EPDXY SEALANT FOR INDUCTIVE LOOPS <br /> Classification: <br /> • This specification covers a high viscosity liquid epoxy formulated primarily for use in sealing inductive wire loops <br /> and leads imbedded in asphalt:concrete and portland cement concrete for traffic signal controls and vehicle counters. This <br /> epoxy is to be used for repair work on existing spalls,cracks and other deformations in and around saw cuts housing inductor <br /> loops and leads. The rapid cure allows minimum traffic delay. This sealant is suitable for use in freeze-thaw areas.
