• The contract price paid per cubic meter for concrete pavement shall include full compensation for furnishing all <br /> labor,materials(including cementitious material in the amount specified),tools,equipment,and incidentals,and for doing all <br /> the work involved in constructing the portland cement concrete pavement, complete in place, as shown on the plans, and as <br /> specified in these specifications and the special provisions,and as directed by the Engineer. <br /> SECTION 41:PAVEMENT SUBSEALING AND JACKING <br /> Issue Date: January 5,2007 <br /> The second paragraph of Section 41-1.02, "Materials,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read: <br /> • Cement for grout shall be Type II portland cement conforming to the provisions in Section 90-2.01A, "Cement." <br /> The third paragraph of Section 41-1.02, "Materials,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read: <br /> • Fly ash shall conform to the requirements in AASHTO Designation: M 295 for either Class C or for Class F. The <br /> brand of fly ash used in the work shall conform to the provisions for approval of admixture brands in Section 90-4.03, <br /> "Admixture Approval." <br /> The fifth paragraph of Section 41-1.02,"Materials,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read: <br /> • Chemical admixtures and calcium chloride may be used. Chemical admixtures in the grout mix shall conform to the <br /> provisions in Section 90-4, "Admixtures." Calcium chloride shall conform to ASTM Designation: D 98. <br /> SECTION 42: GROOVE AND GRIND PAVEMENT <br /> Issue Date: December 31.,2001 <br /> The last sentence of the first subparagraph of the third paragraph in Section 42-2.02, "Construction," of the Standard <br /> Specifications is amended to read: <br /> • After grinding has been completed, the pavement shall conform to the straightedge and profile requirements <br /> specified in Section 40-1.10, "Final Finishing." <br /> SECTION 49: PILING <br /> Issue Date: January 5,2007 <br /> The fust paragraph in Section 49-1.03,"Determination of Length,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read: <br /> • Foundation piles of any material shall be of such length as is required to obtain the specified penetration, and to <br /> extend into the cap or footing block as shown on the plans,or specified in the special provisions. <br /> The fourth paragraph in Section 49-1.03, "Determination of Length,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read: <br /> • Modification to the specified installation methods and specified pile tip elevation will not be considered at locations <br /> where tension or lateral load demands control design pile tip elevations or when the plans state that specified pile tip <br /> elevation shall not be revised. <br /> The sixth and seventh paragraphs in Section 49-1.03, "Determination of Length," of the Standard Specifications are <br /> amended to read: <br /> • Indicator compression pile load testing shall conform to the requirements in ASTM Designation: D 1143-81. The <br /> pile shall sustain the first compression test load applied which is equal to the nominal resistance in compression,as shown on <br /> the plans,with no more than 13 mm total vertical movement at the top of the pile measured relative to the top of the pile prior <br /> to the start of compression load testing. <br /> • Indicator tension pile load testing shall conform to the requirements in ASTM Designation: D 3689-90. The <br /> loading apparatus described as "Load Applied to Pile by Hydraulic Jack(s)Acting at One End of Test Beam(s)Anchored to <br /> Contract No. 10-OM7104 <br /> 21 <br />
