Section 15068 <br /> DUCTILE IRON PIPE <br /> A. General <br /> Piping runs shown on the plans shall be followed as closely as possible. Proposed deviations <br /> shall be submitted in accordance with Special Provisions Section SP-08, SUBMITTALS. <br /> Pipe shall be installed in accordance with AWWA C600. <br /> Support and anchorage shall be provided as shown on the plans and specified in Sections <br /> 15140, PIPING SUPPORTS. <br /> 3.02 FITTING INSTALLATION <br /> Fittings shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> 3.03 LINING INSTALLATION <br /> All linings shall be installed and patched in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. <br /> 3.04 COATING INSTALLATION <br /> A. Couplings <br /> Unless otherwise specified, couplings for buried installation shall be coated and patched as <br /> specified in Section 09800, PAINTING AND SPECIAL COATING SYSTEMS and coating <br /> manufacturer's instructions. <br /> B. Epoxy Coating <br /> Epoxy coatings shall be installed in accordance with Section 09800, PAINTING AND <br /> SPECIAL COATING SYSTEMS and the coating manufacturer's instructions. <br /> C. Polyethylene Encasement <br /> Polyethylene encasement shall be provided where specified in Section 15060, PIPING <br /> SYSTEMS. Installation of polyethylene shall be as specified in AWWA C105, ANSI A21.5, <br /> Section 5-4.2.1 and these specifications. Pipe, fittings, valves and couplings shall be <br /> wrapped. Fittings ghat require concrete backing shall be wrapped prior to placing the <br /> concrete. <br /> The polyethylene tube seams and overlaps shall be wrapped and held in place by means of a <br /> 2-inch wide plastic: backed adhesive tape. The tape shall be Polyken No. 900 (polyethylene), <br /> Scotchwrap No. 50 (polyvinyl), or equal.
