Section 02310 <br /> HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING <br /> 6. Method of slurry containment. <br /> 7. Method of recycling drilling fluid and spoils. <br /> 8. Method of transporting, storing, and disposal of drilling fluids, cuttings and spoils, <br /> including temporary and on-site storage. Contractor shall specify their proposed <br /> plan for managing and staging these materials during the sampling-to-landfill <br /> approval process. <br /> K. Inadvertent Return Emergency Contingency and Mitigation Plan <br /> Inadvertent Return Emergency Contingency and Mitigation Plan which shall address the <br /> following as a minimum: <br /> 1. Measures to be taken to prevent inadvertent returns. <br /> 2. Measures to be taken to respond to a significant loss of drilling fluid pressure or <br /> volume. <br /> 3. Measures to be taken to prevent discharges from the bore (mud) pits. <br /> 4. Measures to be taken in the event of release of mud outside of the bore pits or other <br /> equipment. <br /> 5. Measures to be taken to prevent land based released mud from migrating to the <br /> waterways. <br /> 6. Cleanup and removal measures to be employed. <br /> 7. Contractor's twenty-four hour site environmental contact name and phone number. <br /> L. Safety Plan and Emergency Procedures <br /> Safety Plan and Emergency Procedures which shall as a minimum include the following: <br /> 1. Safety philosophy and safe work procedures shall be clearly outlined. <br /> 2. Location and access to local emergency facilities shall be identified. <br /> 3. All activities shall be identified along with related safety hazards. <br /> 4.
