Where is the ditch and what is the elevation in relation to the new pipe? The ditch is shown on the drawings,
section I A sheet 3. The depth of the proposed gas line is measured from the existing pavement grade not the
ditch elevation. It ditch looks like it's about 18" to 24" deep.
2. Why can't we go farther into the Fright of Way from the pavement? The pavement was just installed last
year....why are we just 1' in the shoulder and not farther? There's no room to go further into the right of
way. It appears the south property Urie is about a foot or so, south of the existing power poles. The existing gas
line is +-3' north of the power poles, so we barely have room near the edge of pavement.
3. Depict the centerline on the drawings so they can see how far into the pavement we are with bell holes and
burp holes. The service bellholes will be extending into the pavement within the fog line, 1'-3'.
4. Show the new corrugated pipe near Davis Road on the drawings; how close or far are we from it? Are we
going under it? This project is +-1950' east of the intersection of Davis Rd and Armstrong Rd. We are
crossing an existing 12" corrugated drain near the point where the ditchline starts. We will install the new gas
line under the drain with a minimum clearance of 18".
5. Revise the drawings to show above. See attached, drawings have been revised.
As I look at the drawings in SAP they don't appear to be the most recent?! They aren't. That's why I'm saying
we will probably have to reroute for approvals and make sure we have the most recent information in SAP.
Your thoughts please?
Paul Kaplan MPM, PMP
PG&E - Project Manager
4040 West Lane
Stockton, CA 95204
Paul.kaplan a p e.com
External (209) 932-2504
Internal 842-2504
2
