Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used for Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to <br />modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete pavement will be required at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Planing <br />Asphalt Concrete Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price <br />paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement, <br />8. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of HMA pavement. No Shoulder Backing <br />material will be deposited or drifted on the final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the <br />Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. <br />9. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration <br />Treatment work must be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection conform. <br />10. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a <br />minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications.
