GENERAL NOTES <br />1. One week prior to the start of work, the Contractor shall furnish to <br />the Engineer a schedule showing proposed street closures on each <br />half—day basis. No work shall commence until this schedule is <br />approved by the Engineer. <br />2. All <br />intersection <br />radii <br />within <br />project limits <br />shall be slurry sealed to lip <br />of <br />existing curb <br />and <br />gutter <br />or edge of <br />pavement. <br />3. Before slurry seal is to be applied to any area, the Contractor shall <br />protect all utility covers, including but not limited to maintenance <br />holes, water valves and survey monument frames and covers. <br />Contractor shall remove protective covers after slurry seal. Full <br />compensation shall be considered as included in the unit price for <br />5 <br />[:1 <br />II <br />9. The Contractor shall not apply slurry seal coat on the stamped asphalt <br />crosswalk areas (Waterloo Road). All necessary precautions must be taken <br />by the Contractor to prevent any damage to the stamped asphalt <br />crosswalks. Twenty four (24) hours after the <br />application of the slurry seal coat, the areas will be swept again to <br />recover any loose aggregate from the area. Furthermore, sidewalks, <br />gutter pans/flow lines and streets will be cleaned and kept in order <br />throughout the duration of the project.
