Ellen Street: Plane 0.17' Roadway Surfacing and Place 0.17' HMA in one (1) layer. <br />Shaw Road: 0.25' HMA Overlay placed in two (2) layers of approximately equal thickness <br />with Geosynthetic Pavement Interlayer (Paving Fabric) placed on the existing surface. <br />2. Core data is unavailable; however, anticipate varying layers of base and roadway <br />surfacing materials within the sectional planing depth of the existing roadway. <br />3. Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has <br />been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />4. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used for Mainline Paving <br />has been completed. <br />5. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain <br />in place unless otherwise noted. <br />7. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor <br />must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />8. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the <br />final layer of HMA Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material must be deposited or drifted <br />on the final layer of HMA surfacing. Shoulder Backing material at all intersections radii must receive Penetration Treatment at <br />0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work must be confined to <br />intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection conform. <br />11. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities <br />constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing <br />must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />12. Hand grinding of Roadway Surfacing will be required at locations where existing highway and <br />utility facilities are within the Planing roadway Surfacing and Pavement Repair limits. Payment <br />for hand grinding must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing <br />Roadway Surfacing. <br />13. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control <br />points, reference points and all survey stakes and must bear all expenses for replacement <br />and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. <br />14. The Contractor must enter into an Agreement with the ST&E Railroad for any work within the <br />Railroad's right—of—way. See Section 5-1.02C, "Railroad Relations" of the Specifications for <br />further details. <br />15. The Contractor must notify the City of Stockton—MUD (209) 937-8706 72 hours in advance <br />of the City of Stockton's facilities to grade.
