;AST STOCK TON SANITARY SEWER PROJECT
ASSEnSMENT AND HOOKUP INFORMATION
Page 2
D.
E.
Hookup Policy (Continued )
b. A final determination has been made of laterals eligible for grant cost
participation. Additional laterals are no longer fundable at project
cost ($132).
c. Additional laterals could be added during construction, provided
property owners would pay 100% of the cost up front.
d. Additional lateral cost during the construction phase is estimated to be
between $800 and $1,200, dependent upon the type of lateral requested.
e. After construction, additional laterals would be added by an
encroachment permit process.
The Public Works Department recommends additional lateral additions be
allowed, with work to be done by the contractor. A definite 100% payment
commitment date would be established after the property owner is notified
the contractor is working in their area.
After Construction
The City of Stockton will assume maintenance and operational responsibility
upon project completion. The City will have the authority to determine the
capacity of the system to accept new hookups from within and outside the
project area.
FE2-HI
