There was 2 feet of murky water flowing below Span 2 during this <br />investigation. Bents 2 and 3 were at the waterline and inspected with the aid of probing. All visible elements were fully inspected. A <br />complete routine inspection was performed. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />A new routine map view photo was added during this investigation. See Photo 1. <br />SUBSTRUCTURE <br />The embankments at both abutments are deteriorating. At Abutment 1, there was an erosion gully up to 12 feet long x 1 foot wide x 3 feet <br />deep on the left side. (See Photos 6 to 8 dated 03/09/2021). This condition has been previously reported and no significant changes were <br />noted. <br />There was up to 2 cubic yards of debris accumulated on Bent 2 Span 1 side on Columns 4 and 5. See Photo 2. <br />There was concrete debris piled up on the left side of Abutment 1. See Photo 3. <br />SAFE LOAD CAPACITY <br />The load rating for this structure is being reviewed by SM&I Ratings Branch under Work Request No. 12539. An updated Load Rating <br />Summary Sheet will be archived when this review is complete. The current rating is based on BDS calculations dated 05/08/1980. <br />WATERWAY <br />A check was dam present in the channel approximately 125 feet upstream (east) of the bridge.
