The surface of the RC slab outside of the traveled
way is bare.
There are transverse and longitudinal deck cracks up to 0.02 inches spaced 6 to 12 inches on center in the bare areas of the RC
slab. These cracks translate into the AC overlay and seen through the areas where the AC overlay is missing. See Photo 5.
There are longitudinal soffit cracks up to 0.02 inches wide present along the centerline of the bridge.
The cracking effects approximately 15% of the total RC slab area.
There are multiple potholes up to 4 inches in diameter x depth of the AC layer present in the AC overlay along the centerline on each
side of the roadway striping. This condition appears to be due to the removal of the roadway reflectors. The condition does not
warrant a defect.
The joints between the AC approaches and the abutments are filled with an emulsion material. The emulsion material has cracked
but does not warrant a defect at this time. See Photos 2 and 3 dated 03/09/2021.
There are diagonal and transverse cracks up to 0.125 inches wide present in the AC overlay over the abutments and piers. (See
Photos 2 and 3 dated 03/09/2021). This condition has been previously reported and no significant changes were noted.
(58) 7DECK RATING =
JOINT - APPROACH - RAIL
