Small aggregate was visible but
appeared sound. The condition did not warrant a defect of Element 205.
No significant defects were observed.
The faces of the abutments exhibited fire soot staining due to fires created by illegal campers. The staining was more
severe on Abutment 4. No distress due to the fires was evident.
Paint and painted graffiti is present throughout the faces and wingwalls of the abutments. The paint was heavier on the
original abutments and obscured minor cracks and distress.
The monolithic wingwalls have been included in the quantity of Element 215.
The previously reported undermining of the RC diaphragm at Abutments 1 and 4 has been covered with new RSP.
