The plans on file within the SM&I <br />electronic database note the option of driven RC piles or CIDH RC piles, but do not indicate the utilized option. <br />The piles were not exposed for visual inspection. The paint did not <br />warrant Element 515, Protective Coating - Paint. <br />The rail posts exhibited minor distortions. The edges of the flanges were deflected less than 1 inch along sections up to 6 <br />inches. The conditions did not warrant a defect of Element 330. <br />The metal beam rail over the wingwall at the left side of Abutment 1 was distorted. The top edge of the metal beam was <br />defected downward approximately 2 to 4 inches along a section 2 to 3 feet in length. The condition was not located along <br />the bridge and did not warrant a defect of Element 330. <br />No significant defects were observed.
