This condition has been previously reported and no significant changes were noted. <br />Methacrylate was placed on the bridge deck in 2004. <br />Treated deck cracks are diagonal and transverse up to 0.05 inches wide spaced as close as 18 inches on center. There are similar <br />sealed longitudinal cracks over the supports. This condition is predominantly in the traveled way. It is estimated that approximately <br />60% of the deck is to remain in Condition State 3 for sealed cracking. <br />There are unsealed diagonal and pattern cracks up to 0.03 inches wide randomly spaced throughout the bridge deck. In addition, the <br />sealed cracks have edge spalling up to 0.08 inches wide throughout the deck. (See Photos 3 to 5 dated 09/23/2022). This condition <br />has been previously reported and no significant changes were noted. <br />The methacrylate is no longer providing protection to the bridge deck. The deck cracks have edge spalling and new cracking is <br />developing. See Defect 12-1130 for more details. <br />There were no significant defects noted. <br />While the abutments are cast as diaphragm-style, there are bearing bads immediately below each girder. <br />The enclosed bearing element is included to indicate the presence of bearings on this structure. The bearings were not exposed for <br />visual inspection.
