These spalls appear to be the result
of multiple bullet strikes, supported by many empty shell casings on the embankment. (See Photo 1 dated 09/20/2018). This condition
has been previously reported and no significant changes were noted.
This quantity includes monolithic wingwalls.
There is a vertical crack up to 0.02 inches wide in the right wingwall at Abutment 4. This condition has been previously reported and
no significant changes were noted.
The pile element is included to indicate the presence of piles on this structure. The piles were not exposed for visual inspection. No
indication of pile distress was noted in any substructure element.
Non-Routine Inspection Element Notes:
Non-Routine Inspection Element Notes:
Non-Routine Inspection Element Notes:
Non-Routine Inspection Element Notes:
Non-Routine Inspection Element Notes:
Underwater Inspection(08/07/2024): Aside from the abrasion noted below in Defect 1190, the concrete of both piers was found to be
in good condition. No ELI changes.
Underwater Inspection(08/07/2024): The upstream noses of both piers exhibit abrasion. The abrasion extends downstream 1.0 meter
(3.3 feet) from each nose. Coarse aggregate is exposed but remains secure to the pier walls. The quantity of 2.0 meters (6.6 feet) will
remain in CS2.
Underwater (08/07/2024): Aside from the scour condition noted in Defect 6000 below, the concrete of the exposed footing was found
to be in good condition.
Underwater Inspection(08/07/2024): The full length of the Pier 3 pile cap is exposed up to a vertical height of 1.5 feet. The condition
does not appear to have changed since the last underwater inspection in 2019. The quantity of 7.0 meters (22.0 feet) will remain in
CS2.
UWI (08/07/2019): The slope protection extends underwater to each pier. There were no significant defects noted during this
underwater inspection. The quantity of 2 ea will remain in CS1.
