Drilled Column 3 at Bents
2 and 3 during this investigation.
At Bents 2 (Span 2 side) and 3 (Span 3 side), there is a 12 inch diameter portion of rot that is approximately 2 inches deep in
Columns 2 and 3. This appears to be the location of previous cross bracing. (See Photo 3 dated 11/29/2021). This condition has been
previously reported and no significant changes were noted.
At Bent 3, Columns 2 and 3, there is a 3 foot vertical section on the Span 2 and left side at the base that has up to 10% section loss.
The cross section is reduced by up to 1.5 inches. (See Photo 6 dated 11/20/2019). This condition has been previously reported and
no significant changes were noted.
Girders 8 and 9, there is a section up to 12 inches long x 4 inches wide of white fungus near Abutment 4.
