The remaining AC was predominantly located
along the centerline of the bridge and across the southbound lane at Abutment 1. The Element 210, Deck Wearing Surface - Asphalt
was previously removed.
There are transverse and pattern deck cracks,up to 0.02 inches wide, spaced 4 to 12 inches on center. This cracking is most present
over supports and is heaviest near the abutments. There are transverse deck cracks, up to 0.05 iches wide, that are spaced as close
as 6 inches apart that radiate up to 2 feet from the abutments. Refer to Photos 2 and 3.
This defect effects approximately 20% of the total deck area.
The deck of the RC slab exhibits minor abrasion. Coarse aggregate is visible and predominantly located from midspan of Span 2 to
Abutment 1, but appeared sound.
This defect effects approximately 30% of the total deck area.
(58) (6)DECK RATING =
(36a) Rail Code 0000
330 Railing-Metal
Distortion
Damage
2
2
2
35
2
2
m
each
each
33
0
0
2
2
2
0
0
0
0
0
0
JOINT/APPROACH/RAIL ELEMENT INSPECTION RATINGS AND NOTES
1900
7000
RAIL INFORMATION
(36b) Transition (36c) Appr Guardrail (36d) Appr Guardrail End 55Roadway Speed MPH
JOINT - APPROACH - RAIL
(330-1900) Distortion
(330-7000) Damage
Element DescriptionElem
No.
Env Total
Qty
Units
CS 1 CS 2 CS 3 CS 4
Qty in each Condition StateDefect/
Prot Defect
There are minor distortions present along the metal beam rail on the right side of the bridge between Posts 4 and 5 and at
Post 7. The top edge of the beam is deflected downward approximately 1 to 2 inches along sections 12 to 15 inches in
length. Based on a comparison to the 03/25/2019 Photos 23 and 24, this condition has remained unchanged.
Defect 7000 has been included to account for the conditions noted under Defect 1900.
