There is an outstanding work recommendation to place a polyester
overlay due to the cracking, abrasion and high truck ADT.
There are longitudinal and transverse deck cracks throughout up to 0.06 inches wide that are spaced as close as 6 inches on center.
See Photo 1 dated 06/13/2020. The deck soffit has similar random and pattern cracks spaced as close as 6 inches on center, a few of
which have light efflorescence.
The bridge deck was treated with methacrylate sometime between the 2002 and 2004 routine inspections.
It appears as though new cracking has developed throughout the length of the structure. See Photo 1 dated 06/13/2020. There is an
outstanding work recommendation from the 2016 inspection to place a polyester overlay.
The girders have diagonal cracks within the first 10 feet from the abutments that are hairline to 0.03 inches wide with a spacing as
close as 1 foot on center. At the girder-to-abutment interface, these cracks are vertical along the full height of the interface. See
Photo 2 dated 06/27/2018.
The 10/17/2012 Bridge Inspection Report stated that the girders on both sides of Pier 2 also had hairline to 0.03 inches wide diagonal
cracks. This condition was verified from the banks with the aid of binoculars.
(58) 4DECK RATING =
(36a) Rail Code 0000
330 Railing-Metal 2 94 m 94 0 0 0
JOINT/APPROACH/RAIL ELEMENT INSPECTION RATINGS AND NOTES
RAIL INFORMATION
(36b) Transition (36c) Appr Guardrail (36d) Appr Guardrail End 55Roadway Speed MPH
JOINT - APPROACH - RAIL
(330) Railing-Metal
Element DescriptionElem
No.
Env Total
Qty
Units
CS 1 CS 2 CS 3 CS 4
Qty in each Condition StateDefect/
Prot Defect
There were no significant defects noted.
