Abutment 1 was at the waterline and <br />inspected with the aid of waders through clear water and probing. There are galvanized stay-in-place forms throughout the soffit that <br />prevent inspection of the soffit. All visible elements were fully inspected. A complete routine inspection was performed. <br />An Underwater Investigation was performed by the Caltrans Underwater Team on 08/07/2019 and included the elements inaccessible <br />from the banks. The most severe locations are at the abutments and throughout the traveled way. This condition accounts for <br />approximately 75% of the deck area. (See Photos 2 through 4 dated 09/21/2022).
