Approximately 70% of the joint material has separated completely
from the headers. (See Photos 3 and 4 dated 09/21/2022). This condition has been previously reported and no significant
changes were noted.
There is a delamination 8 inches long x 4 inches high x 4 inches wide in the interior face of the right bridge rail near
midspan. In addition, there is a spall up to 16 inches long x 12 inches high x 4 inches deep along the interior face of the rail
with exposed rusted rebar (moderate section loss). This defect appears to have been caused by vehicular impact. (See
Photo 1). This condition has been previously reported and a portion of the previously reported delamination has changed to
increased the size in the previously reported spall dimensions.
For more information, see the Delamination/Spall defect above.
Photo 1
Delamination/spall in the right rial interior side near midspan
JOINT/APPROACH/RAIL PHOTOGRAPHS
