There was 4 feet of water in the slough below Span 2 during this <br />investigation. Both piers were outside the water line and surrounded by RSP. All visible elements were fully inspected. A complete <br />routine inspection was performed. <br />NUMBERING CONVENTION <br />The support numbering system is reversed from the standard numbering convention used by Structure Maintenance & Investigations. <br />Past reports have designated the eastern abutment as Abutment 1. This report as well as subsequent reports will also follow this <br />numbering convention. <br />SUBSTRUCTURE <br />There are blackberry bushes growing below Span 1 and on both side of Abutment 1. A work recommendation is submitted to remove and <br />kill the brush.
