The gate arms are actuated by an electric motor and <br />stopped with a brake. There is also a ringing bell on each traffic gate. All gates were replaced and new motor starters installed in the <br />bridge house in 2024-2025. Each <br />gate has two flashing red lights mounted along the length of the gate arm. The gate arms are actuated by an electric motor. <br />There is an alarm bell on each traffic gate. <br />There are 2 double flashing signal lights each side of the bascule span. One is mounted on the cantilever arm and one on steel <br />signal pole. <br />(614-9000) Operation <br />Non -Routine Inspection Element Notes: <br />There are no navigation lights on the bridge or piers.
