The control system consists of a traffic control desk and a moveable span <br />control desk. Clearance gauges are <br />mounted on the upstream and downstream ends of the fender at Pier 11. <br />The timber fenders appeared in fair condition. Power is provided to the south bascule leaf by means of a <br />submarine cable. Backup power is provided by a generator located off -site. The cabinet is very dusty. <br />Four cabinet sections of the MCC donut have door handles/locks to close the cabinet doors. <br />Some components of the power system are old and may soon be phased out by the manufacturer.
