K Mr. James Witty
N May 23, 2025
• Field Surveys: KSN performed field surveys to locate the proposed pothole locations (2 total), and USA
markings, after being marked in the field by Stantec. In addition, KSN utilized the record maps to perform
a monument search within a 50' radius of each proposed pothole location. A 50' radius from the proposed
pothole locations will provide sufficient clearance and demonstrate that monuments will not be impacted
by the potholing efforts. When record monuments are found and located within the 50' radius, it is
recommended that Stantec adjust the pothole location(s) or seek approval from the permitting entity
before potholing.
• Exhibits: KSN prepared 2 individual site exhibits showing the surveyed location of each proposed pothole
and the results of the 50' radius search area. When no monuments were found, a note indicates that no
monuments were found. When monuments were found, the character has been noted along with the
distance from the proposed pothole location to the found monument.
Summary and Results
KSN located the 2 proposed pothole locations using the City of Stockton's Survey Control Network.
The table below summarizes the results. No record monuments were found; two unrecorded nail and washer
points, without tags were found; the purpose of the two nails and washers is not known and neither nail and
washer are shown on recorded maps or corner records.
Pothole Name
Notes (See Attached Exhibits)
UPH-D-003.1 No record monuments were found within the 50' Radius search area.
UPH-D-003.2 Found a nail and washer, no tag, located within the 50' radius search
area, no records found. Purpose of nail and washer is not known.
Found a nail and washer, no tag, located outside the 50' radius search
area, no records found. Purpose of nail and washer is not known.
Please note that this is not a boundary survey, but a survey intended to identify and protect survey monuments
of record from being disturbed by utility pothole activities as noted in the background and understanding. Based
upon KSN's records research and field search activities as of this date, there are no survey monuments of record
located within the 50' search radius of the proposed utility pothole activities.
Please review the attached exhibits for additional information.
