Neely
San Joaquin County-Department of Public Works
1810 E. Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95201
Re: Encroachment Permit—EP 01-73-SW
Compaction Tests- Roberts/Muller/Maybeck Roads
Conestrama Project
Dear Ben:
Enclosed please find a copy of the Kelinfelder-Field Density Tests-Pipe Backfill results
taken on various locations along the Delta Gas Gathering pipeline route under the above
referenced Encroachment Permit. The field tests were conducted in early May 2002 by a
Kleinfelder technician and the material tested in the laboratory employing accepted
engineering and testing procedures.
As shown on the Summary of Field Density Test Results, all samples tested were well
above the Specified Relative Compaction of 90% for the project.
Also included is an index map of the general pipeline route specifying the location of the
compaction tests. As discussed earlier with you in the project, all compaction test
locations and field-testing were coordinated with Kleinfelder/Stockton to assure proper
compliance with County requirements.
The delay in forwarding the compaction test results were my attempt to submit the report,
along with completed "As-Built"alignment sheets for the project. Quartaroli & .
Associates is now in the final stage of completing corrections to the "As-Built'sheets,
and plan to submit those to the County in the coming weeks.
Appreciate your patience and efforts in working with Delta Gas Gathering on the various
pipeline projects presented for consideration during 2001 and 2002.
Sincerely,
Terrence C. Plumb
Enclosure
