Bane
SUBJECT: Subsurface Investigation
Proposed State Farm 'Service Center
Yosemite Avenue - Manteca, California
Gentlemen:
In response to your Request For Proposal (RFP) dated March 1,
1989, we are pleased to submit this proposal for a Subsurface
Investigation at the above-referenced site.
We have visited the site and reviewed the foundation plan for the 1
proposed single- story structure, the workscope for Subsurface
Investigation and the Requirements for Paving, attached to the
RFP. Per your RFP, the anticipated maximum column footing and
wall footing loads are 60,000 pounds and 2,500 pounds per foot,
respectively.
The purpose of our investigation would be to explore the
surface and subsurface soil conditions in order to provide site
preparation procedures, foundation design parameters and pavement
design criteria in compliance with your RFP documents. In order
to accomplish this purpose, we propose the following:
SCOPE OF WORK
Field Exploration
A total of five ( 5) borings within the building area and four ( 4)
borings within the parking lot area, as planned, would be
sufficient for this investigation. We propose to drill the
building area borings and parking lot borings to 20 feet and
5 feet below the surface, respectively. The borings would be
advanced using a truck-mounted rotary with solid flight and/or
hollow stem augers.
Soil Engineering*Engineering Geology*Engineering Laboratories*Chemical Laboratories
❑ Fresno, California 93706 . 1645 "F" Street, Suite 105 - Telephone (209) 485-3200
Fax 1209) 485-7427
❑ Fresno, California 93706 . 1414 Stanislaus Street 4 Telephone (209) 485-8310
❑ Visalia, California 93291 * 808 F.
