LLNL Emergency Plan <br />Rev-23 <br />October 2017 <br /> <br /> 112 <br />Acronyms & Definitions <br /> <br />Term Description <br />ACFD Alameda County Fire Department <br />ACRECC Alameda County Regional Emergency Communications Center. <br />Located at LLNL it is operated and managed by the Alameda County <br />Fire Department. Handles dispatching of Alameda County Fire <br />Department Stations 20 and 21 at LLNL, also known as Fire Dispatch. <br />Activate The order or direction from the responsible authority (e.g., LEDO, <br />EMDO) to make the EOC or another emergency response facility <br />operational. <br />Activation Actions taken to activate, staff, set up, and make operational an <br />emergency facility in support of emergency activities. Includes <br />notification of the emergency response organization staff and <br />notification of offsite agencies. <br />AEGL Acute Exposure Guideline Level <br />Alameda County EMA Alameda County Emergency Manager’s Association <br />ACSO Alameda County Sheriff’s Office <br />Alert An Operational Emergency that is expected to have significant <br />impacts (Protective Action Guide or AEGL60-2/ERPG-2/TEEL-2 <br />exceeded) at or beyond thirty meters from the release point, but less <br />than 100 meters and/or the facility boundary. <br />AtHoc The Emergency Programs Organization’s current emergency <br />information notification system, a digital system that uses telephones <br />to relay appropriate event information. <br />BEC Building Emergency Coordinator <br />California Governor’s Office of <br />Emergency Services <br />State of California Office of Emergency Services <br />The State of California, Alameda County, and San Joaquin County all <br />operate independent Offices of Emergency Services with whom <br />LLNL may interface during an Operational Emergency. <br />CALWAS California Warning Alert System <br />CAS Central Alarm Station <br />CERT Community Emergency Response Team <br />CF&ID Central Facilities and Infrastructure Department <br />CHP California Highway Patrol <br />Contract 44 Prime Contract DE-AC52-07NA27344 between the DOE and the <br />Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC codifying the <br />partnership that owns, manages, and operates LLNL. <br />CQT Consequence Assessment Team
