According to Robert <br />Bates, the filter bag of high explosive machining fine is pulled to separate out the different high explosive wastes and is <br />temporarily stored to dry on the drain. <br />-At building 843, a 5 gallon white container of metal fines was not labeled. <br />-At building 855C, two drip containers from the press machine were labeled with contents only and are emptied "every <br />couple of weeks" according to Robert Bates. <br />-At building 874, a vacuum machining for collecting metal fines was not labeled. <br />-At 875 upper Corp Yard, several containers of chemicals in a shed and four containers of chlorine tablets in the <br />outhouse were not labeled with hazardous waste labeling. <br />-At 875 lower Corp Yard, a broken container of chlorine containing white solids was not labeled. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />- name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties <br />- physical state <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. Since <br />these containers have been on site longer than 90 days, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br />dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br />Observed a 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters labeled as "ERM" and "crushed/compacted oil filters" at building <br />875. Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained <br />used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date.
