UNIVAR USA INC. 44,4 v univAR - <br />CONTINGENCY PLAN <br />06/14/11 Replaces 03/10/10 <br />SECTION <br /> <br />SUBJECT PAGE 17 <br />SIX <br /> <br />EMERGENCY PROCEDURES OF 22 <br />If a Univar USA vehicle carrying hazardous materials or wastes or a common carrier carrying <br />Univar USA lading is involved in a major transportation incident, the following emergency <br />procedures apply: <br />EMERGENCY PROCEDURES: <br />If able to do so, the driver should contact local authorities first to summon help <br />for the injured. If there are explosions or hazardous materials are on fire or <br />leaking, this too should be reported to local Authorities. <br />As soon as it is practicable, the driver involved in the accident shall report the <br />incident to the Branch Emergency Coordinator. <br />The Branch Operations Manager/Supervisor (Emergency Coordinator) or the <br />alternate, in conjunction with the Regional Regulatory Manager and/or Regional <br />Operations Manager shall decide if it is appropriate to respond with Univar USA <br />personnel and equipment. <br />The Branch Operations Manager/Supervisor (Emergency Coordinator) or the <br />alternate shall attempt to obtain as much information about the incident as <br />possible concerning the release of hazardous materials, paying particular <br />attention to individual substances involved and the quantities released.
