- 7. If the leak is not on fire, determine as quickly as possible the leakage rate and assess <br />the extent and coverage of the vapor cloud and determine the hazardous areas. <br />8. Advise the fire department it maybe more prudent to extinguish local fires away from <br />leak source, but fire at source should not be extinguished. <br />9. The Company representative will notify personnel when it is safe to re-enter the <br />affected area <br />10. The Company representative will assign a senior employee to maintain a log of <br />events and all persons who enter or leave site. <br />11.
