' r
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS BUSINESS PLAN
SPILL PREVENTION,EMERGENCY RESPONSE,TRAINING AND CLOSURE PLAN
Business Name: AT&T Mobility - LINCOLN VILLAGE {142981 98381
Business Address: 8177 RINDGE TRACT RD., STOCKTON, CA 95219
In addition to the general business, chemical inventory and site map information, the San
Joaquin County, OES requires completion of the following sections pertaining to spill
prevention, emergency response, employee training and site closure. These sections
contain specific elements pertaining to the Hazardous Materials Business Plan, the
hazardous waste contingency plan, storm water pollution prevention, and underground
storage tank (UST) monitoring.
SPILL PREVENTION PLAN
1. Describe how hazardous materials are handled, stored and monitored to prevent or
minimize a spill or release from occurring(e.g., secondary containment, segregation
of incompatibles, daily visual monitoring).
Battery systems are inspected by technician upon entry to the facility. Batteries are checked for
cracks or signs of leakage. Cables are checked for cracks or signs of fraying. Racks are designed
for this purpose and are anchored to prevent tripping or failing of cells. Cells are firmly attached
to racks.
2. Describe operations, activities and/or storage locations where a release is most likely
to occur.
Employees are to secure the area and call a certified hazmat company.
3. Describe Best Management Practices (BMPs) you use to reduce or eliminate illicit
discharge of pollutants to the storm sewer system.
Battery Electrolyte: Electrol3je is contained in batteries with explosion proof cases and batteries are
secured in specially designed reinforced battery racks which work in conjunction with earthquake
bracing. Person discovering spill will: keep others out of area; attempt to stop the flow of the leak;
wear protective equipment; use spill kit to absorb the leak; or call 911
4. Describe underground storage tank and/or aboveground storage tank monitoring
procedures used to prevent an unauthorized release from occurring.
There are no underground storage tanks at this location.
The aboveground fuel tank is inspected on a regular basis as required to maintain the integrity of
tank contents.
