IV. Fire/Chemical Evacuation: <br />If a fire occurs, exit the building to across the street in front of Larson Marine <br />building and check in with a manager and call the fire department. <br />If the CO2 receiver outside next to the shop is releasing a pressure valve. Stay <br />indoors until the loud hissing noise has stopped. <br />Chemicals: <br />Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are located in the break room by the telephone. <br />V. Fire Protection <br />1. Smoking Regulations <br />Smoking is permitted only in approved smoking areas. Approved smoking areas <br />are: Outside facility front gate on the side walk. <br />Smoking is not permitted in any building, structure, or in a company owned <br />vehicle, at job sites, or in the vicinity of any flammable or combustible liquids, <br />gases, dust or fibers. <br />2. Flammable/Combustible Liquids <br />a. Flammable liquids produce ignitable vapors under 100 F (38 Q. These <br />liquids include gasoline, alcohol and many paint thinners. <br />b. A fire extinguisher must be readily accessible in areas where flammable <br />liquids are stored or handled. <br />3. Exits and Emergency Access <br />a. Keep exits, emergency escape routes, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and <br />other emergency equipment unobstructed. <br />b. Before starting work, always identify the access route to the nearest exit. <br />A secondary exit should also be identified in the event the primary route is <br />blocked. <br />
