VI. Personal Protective Equipment <br />All safety protective equipment must meet the requirements of the ANSI standards <br />corresponding to the type of PPE. <br />Appropriate PPE must be worn if required by a customer at their facility. <br />1. Head Protection <br />If a hard hat is required for the work you are performing, you must follow these <br />guidelines: <br />■ Metal hard hats are not permitted. <br />■ Armor Fire Extinguisher provides hard hats. <br />2. Eve Protection <br />Safety glasses with side shields are the minimum required eye protection when required <br />by the customer. Employees requiring corrective lenses shall wear approved prescription <br />safety glasses with side shield. Alternatively, other appropriate protection worn over <br />regular prescription glasses is also acceptable. <br />Armor Fire Extinguisher provides non-prescription eye protection. <br />3. Foot Protection <br />Safety shoes or boots shall be worn when required by a customer. Steel toe shoes, steel <br />toe boots shall be worn when jobs pose a potential for foot injures. <br />Employee responsible to purchase own foot protection. <br />4. Hearing Protection <br />Hearing protection must be worn at all times when required by the customer. <br />Hearing protection must be worn when operating equipment with a high noise level. <br />Armor Fire Extinguisher provides hearing protection. <br />5. Clothing <br />Company shirts are provided and to be worn while on company time. Long pants <br />required as customer dictates. Rings, watches, and other jewelry must be removed if <br />customer requires. <br />6. Hand Protection <br />Gloves should be worn by all employees when handling rough, abrasive materials or <br />where work subjects the hands to lacerations, punctures, bums or bruises. Gloves shall <br />be worn if required by customer. <br />Armor Fire provides gloves. <br />H <br />
