Several used 55 -gallon empty steel drums labeled as drained used oil and fuel filters were observed inside the warehouse on the property lacking the word empty and a date emptied. Approximately 50 55 -gallon empty steel drums, several labeled as drained used oil and fuel filters, observed outside and adjacent the warehouse, were either not labeled empty with a date emptied or not managed within one year of the date emptied. Approximately 100 55 -gallon empty steel drums observed inside a trailer parked on the property and 28 55 -gallon empty steel drums observed adjacent the trailer, several labeled as drained used oil and fuel filters, were either not labeled empty with a date emptied or not managed within one year of the emptied date. Two blue steel used empty used oil tanks observed outside and adjacent the warehouse, were not labeled with the date emptied. Two white poly used empty antifreeze containers observed outside and adjacent the warehouse, were not marked empty nor with the date emptied. Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. This is a Class II violation. 601 CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. Eight 55 -gallon steel drums of potentially un -punctured used oil and fuel fitters observed on a pallet adjacent the trailer parked on the property, several 55 -gallon steel drums of un -punctured used oil and fuel filters observed inside the warehouse, and two unlabeled containers of used oil inside the warehouse, were observed without accumulation start dates. Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately Contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest.
