Approximately 50 55 -gallon empty steel <br />drums, several labeled as drained used oil and fuel filters, observed outside and adjacent the warehouse, were <br />either not labeled empty with a date emptied or not managed within one year of the date emptied. Approximately <br />100 55 -gallon empty steel drums observed inside a trailer parked on the property and 28 55 -gallon empty steel <br />drums observed adjacent the trailer, several labeled as drained used oil and fuel filters, were either not labeled <br />empty with a date emptied or not managed within one year of the emptied date. Two blue steel used empty used oil <br />tanks observed outside and adjacent the warehouse, were not labeled with the date emptied. Two white poly used <br />empty antifreeze containers observed outside and adjacent the warehouse, were not marked empty nor with the <br />date emptied. Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the <br />date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty <br />containers per this section. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br />Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br />Eight 55 -gallon steel drums of potentially un -punctured used oil and fuel fitters observed on a pallet adjacent the <br />trailer parked on the property, several 55 -gallon steel drums of un -punctured used oil and fuel filters observed inside <br />the warehouse, and two unlabeled containers of used oil inside the warehouse, were observed without accumulation <br />start dates. Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately Contact a <br />licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD <br />within 30 days. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />Eight 55 -gallon steel drums of potentially un -punctured used oil and fuel filters observed on a pallet adjacent the <br />trailer parked on the property, several 55 -gallon steel drums of un -punctured used oil and fuel filters observed inside <br />the warehouse, and two unlabeled containers of used oil inside the warehouse, were observed unlabeled.
