I <br />18 OF 33 <br />TITLE:REVISION <br />CONFIDENTIAL <br />Stockton Emergency Response Procedure <br />F-01-03-2014 <br />If material is leaking from a vessel, attempt to close a valve or turn off a <br />pump that may be allowing the leak to continue. <br />10. Contact the City of Stockton Fire Department (Call 911) to report chemical <br />releases and spills requiring the implementation of this Contingency Plan. <br />11. The City of Stockton Fire Department may take-over the spill clean-up (once <br />on -scene) depending upon their assessment of ECS' ability to properly manage <br />the event. <br />a. ECS's Emergency Coordinator shall continue to manage the clean-up until <br />relieved by the Fire Department. <br />b. If relieved, ECS' Emergency Coordinator will continue to support the Fire <br />Department with unique knowledge of the facility and its inherent hazards. <br />12. Only facility personnel, who are properly trained, equipped and authorized by <br />the Emergency Coordinator or properly trained fire fighters may institute spill <br />containment and clean-up procedures. Do not attempt to handle a spill which <br />involves hazardous materials and/or wastes without authorization from the <br />Emergency Coordinator. Before attempting any spill containment and/or <br />collection operations, review the Material Safety Data Sheets for any <br />material(s) you are not familiar with. <br />13. Do not resume activities unless the Emergency Coordinator directs you to do <br />so, or gives an all clear signal. <br />14. The Emergency Coordinator is responsible for mandatory spill reporting and <br />recording requirements, as outlined in the Reporting Requirements, in Section <br />III. <br />15. After the spill has been contained and collected, the area must be <br />decontaminated.
