EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT INSPECTION PROCEDURES RECEIVED <br />Fire Extinguishers <br />Fire extinguishers are checked monthly during the monthly inspections. MAY 18 2015 <br />Fire Extinguishers are refilled and certified by a licensed firm annually. <br />Eyewash Safety Shower Station(s) ENVIRONMENTAL <br />HEALTH r1F'ppgTMENT <br />The eyewash station(s) are inspected as part of the monthly inspections. <br />The monthly inspection includes cleaning and flushing to remove any particulate matter. <br />Alarm System <br />The fire and burglar alarm system performs a self test every 40 seconds when armed and a <br />more extensive self test every evening when it is first armed. The system will not arm if it <br />does not pass the self test. <br />Spill Clean-up and Safety Equipment <br />Spill clean-up equipment supply(s) are checked monthly as part of the facility's monthly <br />inspection. Maximum and minimum inventories are established for several items and <br />stocked by a vendor. <br />Remote spill clean-up equipment (located in various locations) is replaced when used and <br />also checked monthly. <br />Repair and Replacement <br />All equipment is repaired or replaced when necessary. Repairs will only be made by qualified <br />persons, such as an alarm specialist. <br />Sprinkler System(s) <br />The sprinkler system is inspected routinely by a vendor competent to conduct such <br />inspections. Inspections are to be performed quarterly, annually and every 5 years. <br />First Aid Kit(s) <br />First Aid kits are inspected routinely by a vendor competent to conduct such inspections. <br />Inspections are to be performed monthly. <br />
