San Ramon, CA. 94583 RECEIVED MAY 2 3 2013 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PERM T /SERVICES This letter is in response to the inspection report issued on April 24, 2013 to Chevron Station # 307709, located at 10858 Trinity Parkway, Stockton, CA. 95219 Below is our response regarding the items noted in the enclosed inspection report. • (203) Diesel fuel was observed today in the under dispenser containments 3 and 11. Any release from the primary containment that does not escape the secondary containment and was cleaned up within 8 hours of being detected shall be recorded. o Please see attached form "Recording Requirements for Unauthorized Releases" Reinspection done on 5/1/13 (attached) • (303) The Diesel fill sump liquid sensor was located approximately six inches off the lowest point of the sump and not located to detect a leak at the earliest opportunity. o On 4/24/13 Tanknology relocated the diesel fill sump sensor at the lowest point of the sump. o Reinspection done on 5/1/13 • (311) The Diesel line leak detector failed to detect a leak when tested. All line leak detectors shall be capable of detecting a 3 gallon per hour leak at 10 psi. o Status in progress. SSS will replace the Diesel turbine assembly, we have ordered the replacement turbine, apparently the vendor (CPE) is currently waiting for the shipment/parts to come in. • (402) Diesel fuel leaks in the form of drips were found at dispensers 3 and 11 in the piping above the shear valve, probably in the meter hardware. A small amount of fuel was observed in the under dispenser containments. o On 4124/13 Tanknology removed the liquid in UDC 3 and UDC 11. o On 4/25/13 SSS tightened the bolts on diesel shear valve on UDC 3 and replaced the meter cover and gasket on UDC 11, no further releases observed. o Reinspection done on 5/1/13 (attached) • (403)A loss of Brine was found by the Designated Operator in the following list of sumps indicating a leak in the annular space of the secondary containment. Brine was added to each sump annular space of the following days; 87 turbine sump (9/21/12, 11/17/12), UDC 7/8 (10/26/12), 91 fill sump (11/17/12), diesel STP (11/17/12), diesel fill (11/17/12), vent sump (11/17/12), UDC %2 (1/23/13).
