UST Removal Sampling Report, Madsen's Sunrise Dairy, Ripon, California

<br />Composite samples SP 1-A,B,C,D and SP2-A,B,C,D were analyzed from TPHd by EPA Method modified
<br />8015, TPHg, BTEX and MtBE by EPA Method 8260B and for total lead by EPA Method 6010B.
<br />A total of three soil samples and two composite stockpile samples were submitted under chain -of -custody
<br />protocol for chemical analysis by Kiff Analytical LLC (ELAP #2236) of Davis, California. Copies of the
<br />laboratory reports and chain -of -custody forms are attached.
<br />Analytical Results
<br />BTEX, MtBE ETBE, DIFE, TAME, TBA, 1,2 -DCA and EDB were reported as below the laboratory
<br />method reporting limits in samples TW -13, TM -13 and TE -13. TPHg was detected in soil samples
<br />TW -13 at a concentration of 77 parts per million (ppm) and was reported as below the laboratory method
<br />reporting limits in samples TM -13 and TE -13. TPHd was detected in soil sample TW -13 at a
<br />concentration of 2,000 ppm and was reported as below the laboratory method reporting limits in sample
<br />TM -13 and TE -13.
<br />Composite samples SP1-A,B,C,D and SP2-A,B,C,D contained TPHd at concentrations of 35 ppm and 27
<br />ppm, respectively. Concentrations of TPHg, BTEX and MtBE were reported as below the laboratory
<br />method reporting limits in composite samples SP1-A,B,C,D and SP2-A,B,C,D. Lead was reported in
<br />composite sample SPI-A,B,C,D and SP2-A,B,C,D at concentrations of 5.2 ppm and 6.4 ppm,
<br />respectively. Soil chemical analytical results are summarized in Table 1.
<br />GR forwarded the analytical results and a site plan showing sample locations to SJCEHD for review. On
<br />December 22, 2009, GR was informed by Mr. Naidu of SJCEHD that case has been turned over to the
<br />Local Oversight Program of SJCEHD (LOP-SJCEHD) and LOP-SJCEHD will contact the property
<br />owner regarding what additional work will be required. GR understands that the proper disposal of the
<br />stockpile material will be handled by the property owner.
<br />Copies of the UST closure and disposal certification and uniform hazardous waste manifest are attached.
<br />A copy of this report should be forwarded to SJCEHD and the property owner for their files.
