r---KLEINFELDER
Bright People. Right Solutions.
May 31, 2018
File No.: LOCALMKT.WEOH50-5410
Mr. Steve Jacobsen
Great Wolf Lodge
Vice President Domestic Development
350 N Orleans St, Suite 10000B
Chicago, IL
847-630-1014 cell
sjacobsen@greatwolf.com
SUBJECT: Proposal for Hydropunch Sampling of Groundwater
Great Wolf Lodge
Proposed Hotel Waterpark Resort
Manteca, CA
Dear Mr. Jacobsen:
Kleinfelder is pleased to present this proposal to Great Wolf Lodge for hydropunch sampling
services of groundwater at 2600 West Yosemite Ave, Manteca, California, hereafter referred to
as the Site. The purpose of this sampling event is to provide groundwater analytical data to Great
Wolf Lodge, hereafter referred to as the Client. The scope of work was requested from the design
team in a May 29, 2018 email correspondence.
Kleinfelder is committed to providing quality service to its clients, commensurate with their wants,
needs, and desired level of risk. If a portion of this proposal does not meet your needs, or if those
needs have changed, Kleinfelder stands ready to consider appropriate modifications, subject to
the standards of care to which we adhere as professionals. Modifications such as changes in
scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms and conditions may result in changes to the
risks assumed by the client, as well as adjustments to our fees.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The following scope of work includes pre-field setup, field investigation, and reporting of analysis
for samples collected at Site. This proposal is based upon recent emails and phone conversations
with the Client and our experience in the project area.
Task 1 — Pre-field Setup
Kleinfelder will mark out proposed hydropunch locations in white paint prior to field activities. After
boring locations have been marked Kleinfelder will contact Underground Service Alert (USA) at
least 72 hours prior to conducting field work to notify local utilities of our proposed subsurface
assessment.
Kleinfelder will review the existing site-specific health and safety plan (HASP) for Kleinfelder
personal to use while on site to make sure it adequately covers the newly proposed scope of
work. Kleinfelder will coordinate our HASP with that of the onsite safety protocols of the Client so
Kleinfelder staff are aware of the Clients site specific plans and emergency protocols.
LOCALMKT.WEOH50-5410/ST018P79093 Page 1 of 5 May 31, 2018
© 2018 Kleinfelder www.kleinfelder.com
KLEINFELDER 2001 Arch-Airport Road, Suite 100, Stockton, CA 95206 p I 209.948.1345 f I 209.234.4700
