KLEINFELDER
engin People. Right Soluvon,.
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) requires completion of a well
drilling/boring permit and payment of fees prior to beginning field activities. Kleinfelder will prepare
a permit application package for SJCEHD for the advancement of the proposed hydropunch
boring locations at the Site. The package will include a copy of the workplan proposal, a completed
permit form, and a master file record information form.
Task 2 — Field Investigation
Kleinfelder field staff will be onsite to observe the advancement of five (5) hydropunch locations
to a total depth of 15 feet below ground surface (bgs) within the proposed excavation areas. The
hydropunch borings will be advanced using a direct push drill rig equipped with 1.5- to 2-inch
diameter hollow rods (aka hydropunches). Samples will be collected by advancing the rods to the
desired depth and pulling back (upward) to expose the screened section. The screen allows
groundwater to flow into the rod. Water is then collected using hand sampling equipment, placed
in clean laboratory provide containers, labeled and placed in a cooler with ice. The samples will
be submitted to a certified analytical laboratory under chain-of-custody procedures. Hydropunch
locations will be abandoned and backfilled following guidelines outlined in the approved SJCEHD
permit.
Field work will be conducted in general accordance with Kleinfelder sampling protocols. Samples
will be collected using hand sampling methods (hand bailer and/or tubing with check valve or
peristaltic pump).
It is anticipated that five (5) groundwater samples will be transported to a California certified
laboratory and analyzed for the following:
Arsenic by USEPA Method 200.8
Soil cuttings accumulated during the field investigation will be drummed onsite pending composite
waste profile sampling for the following constituents:
TPH gasoline, diesel, and oil by USEPA Method 8015
VOCs with BTEX by USEPA Method 8015
CAM 17 Metals by USEPA Method 6010/6020
Task 3 — Reporting
After completing the field assessment and following the receipt of the analytical results, a
groundwater sampling and analysis report will be prepared for the Client. The report will include
the following items:
A description of the field activities, observations, and protocols,
Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory
work,
Tabulated results of groundwater sample results with copies of certified results,
Comparison of results to regulatory limits,
A site location and hydropunch location map showing the approximate hydropunch
locations and relationship of the exploration locations to the proposed excavation area,
and
Conclusions and recommendations.
LOCALMKT.WEOH50-5410/ST018P79093 Page 2 of 5 May 31, 2018
@ 2018 Kleinfelder www.kleinfelder.com
KLEINFELDER 2001 Arch-Airport Road, Suite 100, Stockton, CA 95206 p I 209.948.1345 f I 209.234.4700
