FACILITY MODIFICATION C <br /> 0 <br /> C: <br /> Based on information provided by PG&E, site inspections conducted in February a) <br /> 2010 and based on containment calculations, the following facility modifications <br /> 10o <br /> are recommended <br /> 0 <br /> McDonald Island Com Dressor Station: CL <br /> 1) The auxiliary generator is located inside the generator room. The <br /> generator room provides containment for the generator. However, <br /> penetrations are present on the floor of the generator room. It is <br /> recommended that these penetrations be sealed. <br /> 0 2) Fluids from the platform area drain to a sump located under the <br /> 0 platform and then to platform runoff tanks DW-303 and DW-304. <br /> � <br /> Additionally, fluids from the compressor area also gravity drain to <br /> platform water runoff tanks DW-303 and DW-304. It is recommended <br /> -d that written procedures to inspect and drain the sump and compressor <br /> N <br /> 0 area containment on a regular basis be prepared and implemented. <br /> 0� Additionally, a written procedure to remove water from tanks DW-303 <br /> and DW-304 on a regular basis should be prepared and implemented. <br /> Records of inspection and maintenance activities should be completed <br /> and maintained. It is recommended that the frequency of inspections <br /> x be increased prior to and during rain events. <br /> U <br /> N <br /> Z Turner Cut Station: <br /> N <br /> N 1) The containment structure around the production fluid storage tank (C-30) at <br /> Wthe Turner Cut Station has a capacity of approximately 26,517 gallons and is <br /> W insufficient to contain a spill of 26,700 gallons. It is recommended that the <br /> height of the containment structure be increased by at least 2.8 inches. <br /> 2) Fluids from the selected areas of the control and processing platforms <br /> at the Turner Cut Station platform area drain to sump located under <br /> the respective platforms and then to platform water runoff tanks D-2. <br /> D-3, and D-4 It is recommended that written procedures to inspect <br /> and drain the platform water runoff tanks and the containment around <br /> these tanks on a regular basis be prepared and implemented. Records <br /> of inspection and maintenance activities should be completed and <br /> maintained It is recommended that the frequency of inspections be <br /> increased prior to and during rain events. <br /> 3) Penetrations are present on the floor of the contactor tower area at the <br /> Turner Cut Station It is recommended that these penetrations be <br /> l sealed <br /> f <br /> I 1-45 __ . <br />
