M
APACHE PLASTICS, L. P.
2050 E. Fremont St. • P. O. Box 5127 • Stockton, CA 95E014hby2bQ466-4356 • 8001527-2243 • FAX 2091466-1730
April 6, 1994
Mrs. Diane Hinson
Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
P. O. Box 0388
Stockton, CA 95201 -0388
Dear Mrs. Hinson:
The following events of interest to the Public Health Services have occurred in the
most recent quarter:
• On February 25, 1994 Del-Tech Geological Support Services performed a monitoring
event at our site to determine if the ground water had recharged enough to allow
monitoring with the existing wells (a copy of the Deltech log is attached). Although
there is not yet sufficient water to perform a monitoring event, there has been
significant ground water recharge. There are now small amounts of water in four of
the seven wells.
• After much arm waving we have finally placed a purchase order for a vapor extraction
device. We have ordered a VR Systems V2B and expect to have it on our site within
the next ten days. Admittedly much delay occurred in this phase, and if you are
interested in the long story, please call me and I will share it with you. The bottom
line is that we have selected what appears to be the most cost efficient method of
performing the remediation, and the Underground Storage Clean-up Fund is in
agreement with our selection methodology and our choice.
a
