The EHD tentatively approves the CAP submitted by AGE, contingent upon successful completion of the following EHD requirements : • A current waste discharge permit from CRWQCB must be obtained before any fieldwork can begin . • In accordance with the correction action plan (CAP) approval process , the EHD will post a public notification of pending CAP approval at this site. The public will have 30 days to express any concerns regarding the proposed remedial method for this site. Fieldwork can begin once the 30-day public participation period is over and all public concerns have been addressed and the CAP is approved . A copy of the public notice will be mailed to you for your records . • Neither the CAP nor the Final Remediation Plan (FRP) provided cleanup goals or objectives. Acceptable cleanup goals or objectives must be submitted and approved before starting the public participation period ; the EHD recommends setting the goal as reducing dissolved contaminant concentrations sufficiently to stabilize at levels that will pass Low-Threat Closure Policy (LTCP) criteria. • All water used for the purpose of sealing a well must be potable water and not water that has been displaced from a well that is to be destroyed or from a non-potable source. With these conditions, the EHD approves the work plan as submitted . • Notify EHD of all scheduled injection events along with any fieldwork following initial well installation .
