u
ATTACHMENT C
Monitoring and Reporting Program
Apache Plastics
2050 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California
GROUND WATER MONITORING
The ground water monitoring program for wells associated with the proposed pilot study will follow
the schedule below.
PRE-RegenOxTM INSTALLATION BACKGROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION
Prior to injection of RegenOxTM media, background ground water samples will be collected from
wells MW-9, EW- 1 , VEW-2 and MW- 11 and analyzed by a California Department of Public Health
(CDPH)-accredited laboratory for the following:
• TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified;
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX compounds) and the fuel additives
tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME) and 1 ,2-DCA by EPA Method 8260B and
• Total organic content (TOC).
During each monitoring event, a low-flow pump system will be used to purge the proposed wells
and all evacuated ground water will be monitored with a YSI 556MPS. The proposed equipment is
capable of collecting and storing all data recordings for aperiod of 30 seconds. Purged ground water
will be routed through a flow-through cell, not exposed to the atmosphere, minimizing spikes in
dissolved oxygen. The proposed instrument will collect pH, electrical conductivity, temperature,
DO, ORP, total dissolved solids and salinity through the duration of the monitoring and sampling
events. All readings will be recorded during the beginning of purging and during each subsequent
purge volume.
POST-INJECTION/COMPLIANCE MONITORING
Post-RegenOxTM injection, AGE proposes to monitor the effectiveness of the chemical oxidation
reactions through six weeks of bi-weekly sampling events utilizing wells VEW-2, MW-9 and E W- 1 .
Additionally, AGE proposes to monitor MW- 1I to gauge any adverse reactions or conditions down
gradient of the proposed pilot test treatment area. Collected ground water samples will be analyzed
by a CDPH-accredited laboratory for:
• TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified;
AdvancedGeoEnvimn enta4 Inc
