This <br />extension is being requested due to difficulties surrounding offsite access. <br />Request For Extension of PAR/FRP Deadline <br />As discussed in the Addendum to Work Plan and Meeting Summary of October 12, <br />2000, dated October 17, 2000, the depths of all continuous core borings will be <br />determined in conjunction with the RWQCB and based upon continuous core data <br />obtained from the drilling and completion of sentinel well MW -8S. The construction of <br />the proposed groundwater monitoring wells is in turn dependent on the completion of <br />the continuous core borings. On October 25, 2000, representatives of the Regional <br />Board, Chevron, and SECOR met on-site to discuss potential locations for MW -8S_ <br />Due to overhead clearance and Cal -Trans access concerns, all parties agreed that the <br />Shell property (420 West KettIeman Lane) would be the most appropriate location for <br />the well. <br />On October 27, 2000, Mr. Sukh Singh (the lessee of the Shell property) was contacted <br />and faxed a Chevron standard access agreement. Mr. Singh instructed SECOR to <br />contact Paul Kozlow (Mr. Singh's attorney) to obtain information regarding the property <br />owners.
